New members

We are always looking for new members to join the orchestra, in particular for violins, violas and double bass players (usually grade 8+). We do not hold auditions, but you will be put in touch with the section leader who will generally ask some questions about your experience and previous engagements to determine whether you will be able to join. The membership fee is £30 a term (£15 for students).

Rehearsals

We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 – 9.30pm at Monkton Park Primary School in Chippenham (see below for directions). Rehearsals generally start seven weeks before the concert days, which usually are in March/ April, June and November. There is a 15 minute break during rehearsal, with tea/ coffee and cake provided.
